We are Family....

This last week my mom fell and broke her shoulder...so off I go to the ranch to see if I can be of any help. Luckly for her, it didn't need surgery, but about 6 to 8 weeks to heal. so while I was down my sisters Joy and Jill came home and spent the night with us. Oh my goodness we had fun ! My sisters are so much fun. We don't get to be together as much as I would like, but when we do, my sides hurt from laughing so hard. My poor mom, kept saying don't make me laugh...but we couldn't help it.I am so thankful for familes and for the love and support that we give each other. I love when I get to see them, even if the circumstances are not the best, because We are Family!

The Colors of Fall

I got up this morning and the wind was blowing...just alittle, but it was blowing leaves everywhere! I thought to myself I had better get some pictures before there were no more leaves to take pitures of! I love the smell of Fall, the crisp mornings and cool evenings, with the promise of winter to come. It reminds me of the importance of being thankful. Thankful for the beauty of the earth. Thankful for all of God's creations. And thankful for all the many rich and bountiful blessings in my life. To everything there is a season, and for that I am thankful.

Looking to the Future

I Love this picture...I know it has been awhile since a blog, it has been a very busy somewhat emotional summer. But I am looking to the future with and hope and joy!
In this picture my niece Chloe is looking to her Dad, who at the time this was taken was leaving for another dangerous deployment(Note his boots).
Each of us has the ability to look to the future with hope and joy. Things don't always go as we plan, but they do go and it is up to us to find hope and joy regardless of how it goes.
I have seen people I love take the difficult changes in their lives and come out on the other side full of hope and jopy. It has been a great reminder to me that each of us are the builders of our destiny. We cannot always choose what is going to come our way, but we can choose how we handle it...it is up to us:)
I HOPE that this blog finds those that I love, lives filled with hope and joy as we all look to the future.
My hope and prayer for Chloe in this picture is that her daddy will return safely home and that their family will look to the future with hope and joy.
I love this piture.

Elder Hine and the Mtc...and tulips:)

The Tulips at Temple Square were amazing!
YAHOO! Elder Hine at the MTC....he was so ready to give purpose to his life....He said"Don't worry about me, you know what I'll be doing and where I am at!" Then a quick hug and kiss good-bye, and he was out the "Missionary Exit." So I took his ummm, emotional dad(Tim) and we headed home. I just want to thank everyone that helped get him there, both physically and emotionally and most important spiritually!

So the dog you found and rescued wasn't fixed yet!

Ethan found a dog last September, and she was lost and starving and nobody ever claimed her! So we did.....I guess we should have asked if she was fixed! Unbeknown to us she and our other dog Apollo hit it off really well! I said one Saturday, about 6 weeks ago, she is really starting to fill out now and 4 days later we woke up to puppies! 5 little( mostly German Shephard )puppies! And you know what they say...puppies and babies, darn they are cute!

Ethan and His Mission Call

Is it okay to blog about something a month passed? I hope so because that is what I need to do!
Ethan recieved his mission call on Feb. 26, 2009....and he was at work, so we had to wait until that evening for him to open. We had some friends come over and share this time with him. We gathered in the family room and called family and five different phones so they could join us. His hands were shaking and his voice cracking as he read...."Elder Ethan Sinnott Hine, you have been called to serve in the Panama City Panama Mission ! YAHOOO! He is so pleased with his call, he had told himself he would be happy anywhere the Lord choose to send him, but was really hoping to go out of country. He leaves for the MTC on May 13, 2009. Props to you Ethan for wanting to serve the Lord, He is so very mindful of you.
So the passport is here and the visa papers filled out, on to the shots....lots and lots of shots. I will try to keep you all better posted:)
